Lessons are delivered live online via Microsoft Teams. You will be issued with a Mediprospects Office 365 account to attend live online sessions led by subject specialists. Self-study units are supported with webinars and tutorials.

The work placement is an essential part of the course — it enables you to put what you learn into practice. Assignments will draw on your work experience and assessment includes observation in the workplace. The required hours depend on your qualification. This can be undertaken in paid employment or as a volunteer within a setting appropriate to your course.

You need to be aged 19 or over and have GCSE English Grade C/4 or above, or Functional Skills Level 1 (or be willing to study towards it).

You will be assessed through coursework and written assignments. Your practical skills will also be assessed through observations by your tutor at your work placement. Your tutor will guide you on portfolio preparation and give you feedback on both class-based and placement-based work.
